South Africa Is Open!
South Africa's international borders re-opened on 1st October 2020 and they can't wait to welcome you. South Africa’s hospitality and tourism industry is making every effort to follow the Covid-19 protocols, which have been developed with strict guidelines for all stakeholders to comply with.
And to make things easier, Giltedge have also worked on a set of revised booking terms & conditions so you don't have to think twice about booking!

What other countries are open in Africa?
South Africa is not the only country that's welcoming foreign visitors in Giltedge's list of travel destinations. Below is a list of countries in East Africa and Southern Africa that are now open for tourists:
NAMIBIA OPEN - Negative Covid-19 test prior to departure & second test on Day 5 of trip.
KENYA OPEN - Negative Covid-19 test within 96 hours prior to departure.
ZAMBIA OPEN - Negative Covid-19 test within 14 days prior to departure.
RWANDA OPEN - Negative Covid-19 test within 5 days prior to departure, second negative test upon arrival.
TANZANIA OPEN - No covid-19 test needed for entry.
MALDIVES OPEN - A negative Covid-19 test is required within 72 hours prior to arrival.
SEYCHELLES OPEN - A negative Covid-19 test is required within 72 hours prior to arrival. Only tourists from approved countries are allowed entry.
ZANZIBAR OPEN - No covid-19 test needed for entry.
