CREATIVE HUB - Kutluurikatel

Located in the heart of Tallinn, Creative Hub is a an unusual venue and a place for events. Its doors are open for all visitors, and it is a venue for various workshops, seminars, conferences, festivals, exhibitions, Gala dinners and much more.

Between 1913–1979, it was home to Tallinn City Central Power Station. With the founding of the power station at the time, the use of electric power became common in Estonia.

Now thoroughly renovated, the Creative Hub is named after the former boiler room (Kultuurikatel in Estonian). Completed in 1934, this part of the building with limestone walls is now used as a creative art space. The former power station’s first serious encounter with art occurred in 1977, when Andrei Tarkovsky used the complex as a set for his cult film “Stalker”.

Kultuurikatel has several rooms, which makes it perfect for different types of events, conferences or product launches. The Cauldron Hall, stands out as most unusual of all the spaces - an imposing high-ceiling room featuring two giant steam boilers which are under protection. The impressive old balconies can create an historical backdrop to events, and also be incorporated into performance stages.

Cauldron Hall can host up to 200 people for round table events.

Distance: 5 minutes drive from Old Town of Tallinn
